Drive discovery in key areas
We’ll continue to expand and tackle global challenges and opportunities focused in three areas: Energy and Environment; Technology and Society; and Health and Well-Being. We’ll accelerate groundbreaking research in all fields through cross-campus collaborations and bring more UT innovations to market through technology and research commercialization than any other institution.
Support more leading academic programs
UT’s scale, breadth and outstanding faculty and staff create an unparalleled opportunity for the University to lead interdisciplinary research and scholarship and serve as a model for other institutions around the state, nation and world. We will continue to identify and nurture existing connections across campus to fuel impactful research and discovery. We will also continue to invest in the best infrastructure, technology, resources and collections available to support high-impact research.
UT’s Texas Institute for Electronics Awarded $840 Million
The UT-supported Texas Institute for Electronics was selected by the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency to develop the next generation of high-performing semiconductor microsystems for the U.S. Department of Defense.
