Place

We sit at the heart of a vibrant and growing state that has the ninth-largest economy in the world. We embrace the opportunity to realize our region’s unmatched potential. Here’s how we’ll measure our success.

Partner with community, government and business

The only way to create high impact is to increase the amount and breadth of partnerships we have with the community, the City of Austin, state and federal government, the private sector, philanthropic foundations and global organizations. Our goal is to increase and diversify overall funding from government, foundations and industry partners and bring more UT innovations to market through technology and research commercialization.

Drive Austin as an innovation hub

To become the highest impact public research university in the world, we must be innovators and drivers in our booming city of Austin. We’ll invest in new facilities or facility upgrades that are responsive to the needs of teaching, learning, researching, living, connecting and thriving at UT Austin.

Scale and innovate health delivery

We have emerged as a leader in health and well-being. We’ll move toward a bold vision to become an academic medical center that not only improves public health but also supports and reinforces our education and research missions. Our goal is to achieve national ranking for Dell Med partner and affiliated hospitals and increase our share of patients served annually by Dell Medical and its clinical partners.
