This is our roadmap for creating more positive impact, here at home and around the world. The University of Texas at Austin is already the flagship educational and research engine in the most dynamic city in the country’s most thriving state. Yet solving grand challenges requires that we ensure that our processes, policies, and programs can support our bold vision.

Our Strategic Focus

Our strategic plan is organized around five key pillars that have always made UT exceptional: people, place, experiences, education and research. Each pillar has several priority areas with measurable goals that we are holding ourselves accountable to. Drawing from UT’s unrivaled expertise, ingenuity and resources, these areas represent the biggest opportunities for creating impact.

Since we launched our strategic plan in spring 2022, we have honed our focus to streamline the structure of Change Starts Here. Going forward, we’re envisioning the plan as a more simplified tool designed to support our aspirations.
